I assume, as his beloved, he told you of his role. He is what they call a necromancer. In this game, that gives him the ability to question the dead. He asked after Peony, in the beyond, and she informed him a member of the Hearts killed her.

He revealed himself and this information to Misty alone, who wished no other to be told — to protect someone on the Hearts. She now plays the role of the necromancer in his stead.

I do not know if she or one of the girls killed him, but if the method proves similar to Peony’s death, we ought look closely.

He was likely strangled, perhaps by a garrote or a similar tool. There is a thin line around his neck, and it appears he did not struggle. He was missing a lock of hair. Like the others, including Iggy, he was beheaded and the wound was cauterised.

Several other bodies, including Koby and Jacaerys, are missing locks of hair. We believe the wolves coordinated with one another and/or are shielding each other by mixing methodologies.

Most see only the surface of his behavior and rarely take the time to look beneath. Of course, there is power in adverse reputation and duplicity. I know this well. So you can imagine I wasn't so easily fooled by the show he put on last year.
